Especially these days, people want to use the law of attraction for health and healing.

When you learn to harness the power of the law of attraction, you become able to use it in all major aspects of life including achieving your health goals. Whether you’re yearning to lose weight, get in perfect shape, improve your overall health or overcome a chronic health issue, there are certain manifestation tools that you can use to attain your desired health condition. Here is how to use the law of attraction for optimum health.

Setting Your Health Goals

While using the law of attraction for health and healing, it is important not to make your ultimate health goal a general statement like “I want to eat healthily” or “I want to get lean”. That is a common mistake many people make. Setting a health goal is quite motivating. When you set a specific health goal, it helps you to direct your efforts at areas of your health you want to change.

Instead, aim for measurable health goals. For example, rather than making, “getting in shape” your goal, use more specific statements like, “joining the gym and working out four days a week for the next 3 months”.

Set benchmark goals along with a schedule for accomplishing them. Also think about some (healthy) rewards you are planning to give yourself when you reach each goal.

Make sure your goals are realistic; otherwise you may get discouraged if you fail to make the desired progress. Keep in mind a quote from George Bernard Shaw – “Progress is impossible without change, and those who cannot change their minds cannot change anything.”

Take a look at creating a vision board to keep you following up on your motivation. A vision board is a piece of poster board or cork board that contains a collection of words and images that evoke the feelings you associate with the things you desire to achieve. You can use some cut out pictures, inspirational quotes and images that represent your goal. If you are artistic, great – draw some of the images in your dream.

But, like many less artistic people, it is just fine for you to cut out pictures from old magazines to capture what you see in your mind’s eye as your goal.

For example, in your vision board, you can add images of some celebrities with the level of fitness that you aspire to achieve. Put the board somewhere you can see it every day and set aside a few minutes every day to simply look at the board. Consider your vision board an image of your goal(s) and your plan to achieve them.

Using Tools – Visualization (Mental Imagery) and Affirmations

Mental imagery commonly known as “visualization” is a key part of the law of attraction success. Practicing mental imagery in the form of meditation will generate a force of energy that will draw into your life the changes you need to achieve your health goal. You can use guided imagery for improving various aspects of your health.

Sit down for several minutes in a quiet place. Close your eyes and take a few deep breaths. Deep breathing will calm your mind. Now imagine yourself sitting in a movie theatre. Activate the screen by pressing a button on your seat’s armrest.

The movie starts. You are the star here – the main character of your personal movie. Vividly imagine every small detail. Bring in color and sound.

Now press the button on the armrest that opens a door in the screen and lets you enter into the movie.

Get off your chair. Walk up to the screen and enter into the movie.

If your goal is to cut high-calorie fast foods from your diet and eat healthy, visualize a situation that makes you vulnerable to cravings. For example, you’re home alone with all your favorite high-calorie foods in front of you. Imagine the color, and the delicious aromas coming from the foods. Allow the craving to develop, don’t fight it.

Now envision yourself, putting those foods back into the cupboard or refrigerator — and eating a healthy salad or a veggie and hummus snack. Engage sensory properties like color, smell, and taste. Feel that you have a strong metabolic system, and the food you are eating supports your muscular growth and keeps your body healthy and fit. Eat with joy and pleasure — enjoy the food with all your senses.

Remember, you’re not watching a movie. You’re in the movie. Therefore experience yourself in the first person.

If your goal is to get in shape, picture yourself in the gym. Visualize the environment of your gym and the instruments like racks of dumbbells, stakes of iron plates and rows of machines. Imagine yourself performing each exercise— every set and every rep…feel your lean body and tight skin. Imagine the flawless execution— feel the sweat, the burn in your muscles, the pace of your breathing, the way weights feel in your grips. Imagine your body is gradually transforming into the perfect shape as you are performing the workouts

Now stand in front of a mirror. You’re looking fit and wonderful at your ideal weight. Admire your new look and repeat the following affirmations:

  • I love and approve of myself
  • I have all it takes to make positive changes in my life
  • I am sound in mind body and spirit
  • I am confident in my body
  • I always push through the pain
  • Every day I am getting closer to achieving my ideal body
  • I spontaneously let go the desire to eat foods that are bad for my body
  • I envision my ideal body and take action to make it happen.
